- 中文 Chinese — roughly 1 token per 1–1.5 characters. A 100-character Chinese paragraph is about 80–100 tokens.
- Code — roughly 1 token per 3.5 characters; punctuation and indentation consume extra tokens.
- Pages — one page of text ≈ 500 tokens, the standard rule of thumb for prompt sizing.
- Output — words are converted at ~1.33 tokens per word when you switch the output unit.
